EMBROIDERED BANNER & MEDAL - ADMIRAL NOEL, JAPANESE INTEREST
a silk banner embroidered in metallic thread, with the writing All Amm10 Gerard Noel Offre F Estante, 19, Accsto, 1899. With a Japenese medal in part of a case (with Japanese writing on the reverse), and written on the back of the case Order of Merit from Japanese Ladies Patriotic Society.
*Admiral Noel (1845-1918) was a Royal Naval Officer of distinction who held various roles during the late 19thc.
