a 19thc German violin, with a spurious label for Gaspard Diuffo, Pruggar 1516, the one piece back inlaid with a marquetry town scene. The scroll with a carved figure, and with latin writing on each side. Also with a violin bow stamped Bauson, and in a fitted case with old luggage label British India, SN Co Ltd, Cabin, from Calcutta to Melbourne. Violin 61cms long
