MOTORCYCLING MEDALS WON BY THE LEGENDARY JOSEPH S WRIGHT.
A quantity of medals won by the holder of multiple World Records in the 1920's-30's period, many at Brooklands. He held at one time the Brooklands Record Laps for 1925-110.43 mph. 1926-27-28 Laps of 113.45 mph. 1929- 30 118.86 mph.
Hill Climbs and other race meetings were also undertaken, often in the 350cc Class.
At one time he also held the Fastest Race Ever on any track, record: 3 Laps of Brooklands at an average of 111.4 mph.
At Montherly France, the Lap Record at 138 mph, the fastest speed at that time ever accomplished on a race track.
World Record at 5 Kilometres, at 132 mph.
World Record at 5 Miles at 130 mph.
World Record at 50 Miles and 100 Kilometres, solo at over 112 mph.
World Record Sidecar and Passenger over 5 Miles and 50 Kilometres of 104 mph.
W R at 99 mph for Sidecar and Passenger at 10 Miles and at 16 Kilometres.
BARC numbered badges for 1925-1927-28-29-30, 1931-33- & 1934.
1 Silver & 4 bronze Brooklands prize Medals.
Essex also West Kent etc prize medallions, (26 in total). Medal bars etc.
3 x Sydenham & District Motor Club medallions, named to G Wright.
