A R NAVY OFFICERS WW1 & WW2 GROUP OF SIX.
A 1914/15 Star named to Lt O Bake RN. British War & Victory medals named to Lt Cmmr O Bake RN. 1939/45 Star, Defence & War medals unnamed as issued. The six mounted for wear.
Orrell Bake was born 12th february 1886, at Gloucester Street, Portman square, London.

His WW1 service was mainly in Destroyers, including commanding HMS Sygnet. A 'D' Class Destroyer launched in 1898, of some 355 Tons. He incurred 'Their Lordships Displeasure' following a second collision.
In WW2 he served as a Sea Transport Officer and N S C O duties in the UK also Suez and Malta.
Acting rank of Captain released 18/3/1947, rank of Captain Rtd.
