AN AIR FORCE CROSS - GSM RAF GROUP WITH MID EMBLEM.
An Air Force Cross with reverse dated 1951. 1939/45 Star, Defence & War Medals unnamed as issued. A GV1 General Service Medal with bar Malaya, with Mention in Despatches Emblem. Named to Flt Lt A Campey RAF, later Squadron Leader Arthur Campey AFC.
A 9ct gold-enamel medal named to L Campey MGC, weight approximately 16 grms. The legend on the obverse reads, The Great War and I served Aug 4th 1914 to Nov 11th 1918.
Leonard Campey served in the S Lancs Regt as Pte 4954. In the Y & Lancs Regt as 31456. Also the Machine Gun Corps as Pte 169829.
Arthur Campey was attached to a Far East Squadron, General Duties Branch-Navigation.
W S Flying Officer in November 1944. In the New Years Honours 1951 as a Flight Lieutenant, he was awarded The Kings Commendation for Valuable Services in the Air.
