In its book of issue a Fire Service Exemplary Service medal and a Defence Medal, the first named to (10 Hampshire on the box lid), Sub. Offr Edgar W R Chant. Also a related bronze Hampshire County Council Education Committee medal, with a silver darts award, M V D L 1938-39 engraved sports medal .
It is quite likely that Edgar Chant was involved in the Blitz on Southampton, during WW11. With the group is a bar with Fire and Defence medal ribbons, for wear.
