A FIRST PATTERN WILKINSON COMMANDO DAGGER.
Marked at the ricasso on one side of the blade blade, Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd London. On the other face is The F-S Fighting Knife. Reverse swept crossguard in the earlier heavy metal, with knurled cheaquered grip. The blade of some 6.5/8" in the double-edged style, with some light staining evident. The sheath of brown leather with Newey pop-stud present, the frog is lacking one one side. The wings have been removed, from the sheath by the wearer during the war.
