A GEORGIAN OFFICERS SWORD.
A highly decorated sword by Osborn & Gunby, C1806-1808 period. Ivory chequered grip with gilt lions head pommel and backstrap, also a stirrup guard. The highly decorated blade of curved form, measuring 27.1/2" in length. Foilage and trophies etc, are from the ricasso to approximately 3" from the point. Osborn & Gunby BIRM-m and Pall mall London in panels. Gilt mounted scabbard with black leather , a sword of some quality.
