A S WALES BORDERORS CASUALTY PAIR. British War & Victory medals in packets and box of issue, named to 56205 Pte G Nicholls S W B. Complete with the original ribbons and addressed to Mrs G Nicholls of 2 Burlington Place, Uxbridge Rd, West Ealing. George Nicholls served in the R W Fusiliers under number 56205, also the South Wales Borderors under 45295. The son of Mr Nicholls of 11 Raynham Rd, Hammersmith, London. The husband of Grace L Nicholls of 40 Station rd, Hammersmith, London. KIA on Sunday 25/11/1917 aged 27, he is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. Entitled to a pair only, issued in 1922. With the medal slip stating R W Fus, and a grave scroll with newspaper details inset.
