A BLUNDERBUSS PISTOL WITH TOP-SPRUNG BAYONET by TWIGG.
A brass barrelled Blunderbuss pistol by John Fox Twigg of London. He was noted as working between as a Gunmaker between, 1755-1790. 8" flared barrel with heavily re-inforced muzzle-rings, the breech stamped with old Birmingham proofmarks, for pre 1800. (Crossed sceptres surmounted by Crowns.)
Brass furniture with light decoration, steel action with sliding safety lock 'Twigg'. On the octagonal/round barrel top is London, with affixed sprung 5" bayonet.
