A DUELLING PISTOL BY PROSSER.
A .36 bore Duelling Pistol by Prosser of Charing Cross. London, with Flintlock action. 13.1/2" overall length, having an 8" octagonal browntwist (rebrowned) barrel. Gold touch-hole and barrel line and gold name poincon Prosser inset in the breech top. Having a flat stepped lock with sliding safety lock, with a roller frizzen. Fullstock in walnut with a chequered saw handle, steel engraved oval flat buttplate. Ornate engraving to the latter and trigger guard and pineapple finial, etc. A single set trigger with horn tipped ramrod present, with its worm-drive.
