AN ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS DIRK.
A high quality 19thC A & Sutherland Highlanders officers dirk , with silvered mounts and etched blade. The ornate mounts to the scabbard throat and knife and fork fittings, bear the Boars Head and Sans Peur, Ne Oblivis Caris. Dark brown leather on the scabbard, with both knife and fork present, the latter lacking its spring clip.
The blade of exceptional etching details, Crowns surmounting the Boars Head on one side, Sans Peur below the Wild Cat. Of some 12" length with dual fullers, being exceptionally clean with very little staining present.
