A GEORGIAN DIRK OR SIDEARM.
A C1790's officers sword, shortened for wear as a dirk or sidearm. Pineapple shape pommel with crescent shaped quillions, having a wire wrapped grip. The blade of straight single-edged form, being now 14.1/8" in length with a full length fuller. The shortened sword scabbard altered to suit the altered length, has gilt and black leather mounts.
