A GURKHA RELATED (Lt Col ROE) PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM.
Including many of Military Historical interest. The 4th Gurkha Rifles leaving for France in August and December 1914. 1917 Kashmir, Camp Barham, Bakloh, etc. Waziristan 1919-20, Bear Hunting, Dhar and Jamdola. Machine Guns in Action Sarwekai Jan 1921, Gurkha Officers at Chagmalai Camp Spring 1921.
Put together by Lt Col C D Roe, consisting of his life in India including warfare and sport (polo etc). Most photographs are notated by himself, bringing the days of Empire to life. Both during and between the W Wars, forts and vehicles, family etc. Over 130 original photographs are in the album, with (3) glazed related photographs, etc.
