Lot 2241
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY BUREAU with fall flap concealing a fitted interior, bombe sides and front with font drawers on ogee bracket feet, with finely cast handles and escutcheons, 74 cms wide (max) x 90 cms high x 46 cms deep.
It has recently come to light that this bureau was once in the Percival Griffiths collection having been included in an album of photographs create by Mr Griffiths that was sold by Christies in 1979. The bureau was illustrated by Tipping in the Burlington Magazine in June 1918 when it was in the Percival Griffiths collection.
