A STEEEL AND BRASS PAN BALANCE, LYME REGIS 1796.
A steel balance, the beam marked Nicholl & Fowler, with two circular brass pans engraved 'Lyme Regis Dorset 1796 and with later stamped Victorian duty marks. The beam 35cm wide, the pans 14cm wide, and a similar smaller unmarked balance. (2)
