Lot 176
A VICTORIAN CAST DESSERT STAND OR TAZZA
decorated with female & lion masks, the fluted dish with an ornate, applied border, by Robert Garrard, London 1874/77; 12.25" (31 cms) diameter; 61.3 oz
*The detachable top section & base have different date letters which may be explained by the fact that these tazzae were often in pairs or sets and the top & base may have been mixed up with another tazza & not re-united when the two parted.
