A FIRST WORLD WAR MILITARY FIELD SATCHEL AND CONTENTS. The underside of the cover inscribed 'Capt L.S.N. Palmer, Royal Dublin Fusilieys'. The contents comprising Palmer's Field Service Pocket Book 1914, cutlery, water bottle, mirror, compass 'Verner's Pattern VII' 1918 in leather case and other items. A Captain L.S.N. Palmer serving with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers is listed as wounded on casualty list 26/9/15 whilst serving in the Mediterranean, he was mentioned in dispatches on the 28th January 1916 and is also recorded as being 'sick' on 19th October 1916.
