A SHIN-GUNTO KATANA.
A military Shin Gunto Katana with signed tang, and leather covered saya. The translation reads 'Made by Hatori Masahiro at Seki in Mino province'. The name of the person who probably captured the sword is also engraved on the tang. Jemedar . P. Narayana.Sami. 18950 Q.V.O.M.S & M. Bangkok. (Siam) 1945.
The blade length is 22.5", with some light staining evident. (No-Shu. Seki Ju. Ha-Tori. Masa Hiro. Saku)
