Four Flying Logbooks with photographs and diary entries added to the details. A magnificent career flying from the mid war period, 1943 until 1967. Single engined training planes to Jets and Helicopters.
Among the planes flown by Commander H E R Bain were. DH82A-Cornell Link Trainer-Harvards-Ansons-Dakotas-Tiger Moths-Corsair111- Reliant-Seafire 111.
Master 11, Firefly- Seafires XV & XV111's-Sea Otter- Dominies-Seafire 47 & X1V. Also Mosquitoes and Lancasters- Spitfire 9- Prentice- Firebrand-Hornet XV. Barracudas-Sea Hornets-Meteor V11-Vampire XV & XX. Attackers- Magistar etc.
With over 3,500 hours of mostly Navy flying, also as a Co-Pilot in several planes and helicoptors.
The photographs of Naval Squadrons, Visiting CO's etc, are throughout the pages. also passes also proficiency slips and the odd crash, are all retained adding more detail to his distinguished career.
