A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH PRESSED HORN SNUFF BOX with plain rectangular base, the integrally hinged lid impressed with a scene of St Vincent De Paul's Church, Paris, together with an early 18th century oval pressed horn box, the lift-off cover impressed with a scene depicting Alexander the Great after the battle of Issus, within a fine scrollwork border, with very faint trace of legend and a smaller early 18th century pressed horn box, the cover impressed with a scene depicting a naked female lying on a cloak beneath a tree, a star fish device above her head and a putti attempting to cover her modesty with a fold of the cloak, a lake in the background with three ducks swimming past trees and a hut on the far shore and a radiant sun overhead, the underside of the cover signed "OB" within a pressed oval panel, by John Obrisset; the latter 3.2" (8.1 cms) long (3)
