in a narrow oblong mahogany case with slide-open cover, (graduated only for 30 degrees East and West of North and South), by Lenoir a Paris, c.1820 together with two nickel-mounted ivory folding rules; the larger one signed "NETLAM RATTRAY", a leather "Rabone" 33 foot tape measure, and a 19th century ivory-mounted steel pocket knife with rounded ends and twenty four fold-out penknife blades; the compass 6.6" (17 cms) long (5)
