George Moore (1863-1914) A Watercolour Drawing.
A monochrome vertical format drawing for use with Cycling magazine circa 1894, signed by the artist in the bottom left-hand corner, depicting two male cyclists on a tandem bicycle being hotly pursued by another man riding a tricycle. Painted on card, a note in red ink on the reverse reads 'Cycling Friday' together with a small ink stamp stating 'Cycling No. 187', indicating that the drawing was intended for publication in this weekly illustrated magazine. Mounted, framed and glazed. Image size 22.5 x 17.5cm. Good condition, with just a slight suggestion of pale browning along the inside edges of the mount.
