A 1941 Caminade - Caminargent Aluminium Bicycle. Originally patented in 1936, the bottom bracket is dated June 1941 and numbered 1826, and the octagonal tubing is held together by decorative lugs that are clamped by bolts. Fitted with a Super Rapid three-speed gearing with a down tube mounted control, the chain-set is Stronglight, and modern yet old-style rat-trap pedals with toe clips are fitted. Aluminium drop handlebars are fitted to a Camichrom steering extension, side-pull Lam brakes and Picardie rims and narrow section hubs are fitted. A new Caminargent light brown leather saddle completes the ensemble.
