A Racing History of the Bentley by Darell Berthon. A 1956 1st edition which has a dedication on the copyright page, 'For Jacqui in Appreciation - D. Berthon', and on the lower corner of the green leather bound cover, in gilt letters is 'Jacqui'; Jacqui was the wife of Tony Townshend who owned a Bentley restoration garage and she assisted with Bentley competitions in the 1940s and 50s. Also, on the page opposite the title page is a monochrome picture of W. O. Bentley and L. C. Pennal. Their signatures appear below this image,. The leather cover has unfortunately been covered in clear plastic. The lot comes with, a further 1st edition with the remains of a DJ.
