mid 19th century, the enamelled dial inscribed Dent - Watchmaker to the Queen/41 Strand, London, above a subsidiary alarm dial, on a brass eight day, repeating movement striking half hourly to a bell, the platform stamped JS (for Joseph Soldano) No. 92, the gorge case engraved with stiff and scrolling leaf decoration, with key also stamped 92, height excluding handle 12.5cm
