GEORGE II MAHOGANY STOOL, in the manner of William Kent, the rectangular, needlework upholstered seat above a seat rail carved with C scrolls and foliage, on square baluster legs with gadrooned, collared capitals, beading and foliate panels and collared block feet, height 48cm, width 46cm, depth 39cm Provenance: Kirkleatham Hall, Redcar, Yorkshire, Morphet & Morphet Contents Sale, 26/7 September 1949, Lot 521 (set of five) W Waddingham, 10 Royal Parade, Harrogate, from whom purchased November 1971. A photocopy of the Kirkleatham Hall sale catalogue included.
