with a lift-up cover & concealed jewellery drawer, fitted with ten various silvergilt mounted cut-glass jars, bottles & boxes, a pin box with a hinged cover, a powder box with a screw-down hinged cover, a small tray, all with the initials "ME" & scroll engraving, and a plain beaker, the box cover with a concealed area revealing a wooden mirror frame (no glass), and a gilt brass hand mirror, the box with a patent lock & key by Sampson Mordan & Co., all the mounts by John Harris, London 1858; the box measuring 12.75" (32.5 cms) wide; 19.8 oz weighable silver
