A 16TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL ENGRAVED MOUNTED COCONUT TANKARD with three decorative cast straps, a low domed foot and cover and a figural finial, the lappet mounts engraved with repeating fleur-de-lys motifs, the rim with a frieze of arabesque floral scrolls & a central cartouche, inscribed "ANNA SCHARNAGELIN", struck only with 19th century Austro-Hungarian storage marks (for Prague), probably German 1570-1580; 8.25" (21 cms) high
