AN OFFICERS 1912 PATTERN CAVALRY SWORD. An Officers 1912 pattern cavalry sword, complete with field scabbard and swordknot. Blade number 15072, carried by Major A B B Moore of the 6th Duke of Connaught's Lancers, (Watsons Horse) Indian Army. Marked Army & Navy Cooperative Society on the 35" blade, with some rust patches evident. Brown leather field scabbard and swordknot, with its outer carrycase. The hilt and guard show very little damage to the plating or any notable rusting on the inside. 2/ Lt 1931 Indian Army 1932. Lt in 1933 Capt in 1939 Major in 1942 Alick Bartley Brady Moore born 16/6/1910. ADC to his Excellency the Viceroy of India 6/4/1938 to 7/1/1939. The Regiment was dismounted and became Armoured Cars Indian Division(Recce) in Italy between 1943-45
