A FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS BY WATERS. A heavy construction Flintlock Blunderbuss, with Waters and George 111 crown on the lockplate. Brass 15.3/4" flared muzzle barrel, with underslung ramrod. The steel lockplate has a brass backplate and escutcheon plate behind. Brass furniture with London Proof Marks on the barrel. 31.3/4" overall length. John Waters was working between 1767 and 1781, after that date known as John Waters & Son (Birmingham) See Illustration
