A SMALLSWORD & PARTIAL SHAMSHIR.
A Gentlemans smallsword in the 1796 infantry officers style, complete with its brass mounted black leather scabbard. Brass hilt and p[ommel , folding guard with plain finish. The stirrup hilt and pommel partially decorated with swirl designs, wooden grip lacking its wire wrap. 31" tapering blade with light etching and almost full length fuller. Possibly of Continental manufacture, a handsome usable sword.
A 19thC Shamshir sword with grips loose and blade shattered in two pieces, with partial scabbard.
