A WARTIME SILVER SALVER AFS-NFS SERVICE.
A heavy Silver Octagonal Salver with presentation inscription and signatures, for Fire Services during the Second World War period . AFS-NFS 1938-1944, Presented to Col O Harold George, From all the Part Time Personnel of 'D' Division No 1 Fire Force, as a token of Esteem and Appreciation of Services Rendered. 14 engraved signatures of those who served are on the salver, which has Sheffield Hall Marks for 1935.
It is believed that Harold George was from the South Shields area.
