A SERGEANT AT ARMS 19thC POLEARM SOMERSET M.
A 19thC Sergeant at Arms ceremonial use Polearm, marked with Somerset M on the steel fittings. Axehead with spike top, that has inset shanks in the staff with four rivet fittings. 99" approx overall length. It has Somerset M (Militia?) and D over 5 stamping on the reverse blade. Head measurement is approximately 26" from the spear-tip point to the shank fixings.
