A 15CT. GOLD WATCH CHAIN AND SEAL formed with long and short gold links, suspending a 15ct. gold 't' bar and a gold seal engraved with initials, 33cm. long, 47.1 grams. By repute this watch chain belonged to Sir Eric Ansorge (1887-1977) who had a long and distinguished career in the Indian Civil Service. He was also a keen amateur entomologist and a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society.
