A SECOND WORLD WAR SOUTH AFRICA TRIO AND A ROYAL NAVY CASUALTY GROUP. A Second World War group of three comprising 39-45 Star, Africa Star and Africa Service Medal named to 143129 H, Abrahams, the lack of prefix to the number suggesting Abrahams was a white volunteer. Together with South Africa regimental badge, the two stars also named, lacking ribbons and unmounted. With a Second World War collection of four comprising Italy Star, War Medal and R.N. Long Service and Good Conduct medal named to J. 98879 L.J.Hayes A.B. H.M.S. Excellent. Leslie John Hayes was born on the 19th of March 1905, he died on the 11th February 1940 at which time he was serving with HMS Greyhound.
