AN EGYPT 1882 AND KHEDIVE'S STAR TO THE SUSSEX REGIMENT.
An Egypt 1882 Medal with Abu Klea and The Nile 1884-85 clasps named to 2174 Private T. Smith 1/R.Suss:R. (lacking ribbon) and a Khedive's Star privately named to the reverse 'The 1st Bn R.S. Regt. 2174 T.S.S.' The Royal Sussex Regiment played an important part in the action at Abu Klea being awarded 282 of the 1581 clasps for this action.
