decorated along the stem with wirework and inset with a triangular piece of abalone shell, the re verse with applied wire; a wire twist floret within a border and signed with the letter "T" made up of punched beads, by Mary Thew, Glasgow c.1925; 3.1" (8 cms) long; 0.3 oz
*Mary Thew (1876-1953) attended the Glasgow School of Art, where she met Jessie M. King & her husband. Thew is known for Celtic influences, her work in the Arts & Crafts style and her "trademark" wirework surrounding stone & shell inserts.
