Balfour to Adam Logan in 1861, the obverse in relief with a classical portrait head above the Greek letter delta within a wreath border & legend "IN MEMORIAM OBIT MDCCCLI", suspensory ring, maker's mark only, by John Law of Edinburgh c.1861 (in original fitted case with the maker's label); 2.5" (6.4 cms) diameter; 2.9 oz
*David Macbeth Moir (1798-1851), Scottish physician & writer. Much of his prose & verse was signed with the Greek delta mark, particularly so in Blackwood's Magazine.
