[Dickens, Charles] The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club, first edition in book form, half-title, frontispiece and additional title, 41 engraved plates after Hablot Knight Browne, modern half morocco by Bayntun of Bath, top edge gilt, 8vo, London: Chapman and Hall, 1837 This copy was grangerised by George Bayntun of Bath in the 1950s. Laid in are duplicates of the additional title and 10 plates in various states, most laid to size, an upper wrapper from the original parts issue, an undated 3pp. autograph note from the biographer John Forster, and an envelope addressed to Henry Austin, signed by Charles Dickens.
