Travers, Pamela Lydon. Four autographed letters signed to Gerry Marler, inviting the recipient to stay, 'If you are thinking of coming in to N.Y. please have lunch with me', and relating news of illness, '... I have been very ill - with heart trouble - for nearly three weeks and won't be able to go down stairs for at least another', but also relating thanks, 'You left a trail of affection behind you, Gerry and I can't thank you enough' and sharing confidences, 'I don't believe I can cope with domestic life any more - in New York anyway. But a wind will blow soon and take us in the right direction.', 4pp., c.1952; a further autograph note signed 'P.L.T.' on the reverse of a Christmas Greeting; and typed note headed 'Gerry', providing instructions for the care of Camillus Travers, her adopted son, c.1950s, the reverse with a fragment of the typescript for Mary Poppins, n.d.
