Mary, Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood. Four autographed letters to 'Bobby', c.1950, discussing official visits, 'My dear Bobby, So very many thanks for your letter of 12th and for all your kind references to my visit to ?Heron Camp and Guildford. I intended writing to you to tell you how very delighted I was by my 2 visits. Everything went extremely well though I must apologise for my address to the recruits, also my speech at the Opening of the Museum when I felt very nervous. I have written to Dame Helen as well as to Mary Calvin and Peggy Boydell and realise only too well how much the two latter have achieved. I feel I have every reason to feel very proud of my Corps after the ceremonies on August 9th and 10th. Have also written to the A.G.. I return to Harewood on Aug. 19 and expect to be there till Sept. 12 or so when I hope to go to Balmoral. May I please be remembered to your father. Hoping you will have a restful time. Yours sincerely, Mary', dated August 16th 1950, 12pp., an autographed Christmas card for 1958-9 and another for 1949 (7)
