a 19th century cast and patinated bronze bust after the antique of 'Pseudo-Seneca', beard and open mouth, on a square marble base, height 44cm
*This model is based on a late 1st Century BC Roman bust excavated at Herculaneum in 1754, originally thought to be Seneca the Younger it is now thought to represent perhaps Hesiod or Aristophanes.
