a large 'Warwick' type vase with a broad body with twin intertwined handles, the bodies decorated with fruiting vines and bacchanalian subjects and lion drapes, on a pedestal foot and square stepped red marble base, height 29cm
*The original vase to this design was discovered at Hadrian's villa in the late 18th century, becoming known as the Warwick vase when it came into the possession of the second Earl of Warwick.
