AFTER THE ANTIQUE,
a cast and patinated Grand Tour bronze of 'Augustus Of Prima Porta', the Emperor Augustus Caesar dressed as a general in the act of addressing his troops, standing with bare feet, elaborately decorated armour, a spear in one hand, the other outstretched, with a small figure of Cupid riding a dolphin behind, height 20cm
*This bronze is based on an original excavated from the Villa of Livia, Augustus's wife in the mid 19th century. The original is now in the Vatican museum.
