William Stuart (1798-1874) of Templesford Hall in Bedfordshire was the eldest son of William Stuart, Archbishop of Armagh. He was Justice of the Peace and a Deputy Lieutenant. He collected a large library that was sold after his death at Sotheby's (1875), and a further portion at Christie's (1895). The remainder of the library was destroyed in a fire at Templesford Hall shortly thereafter.
