Capella, Galeazzo Flavio. Commentarii... delle cose fatte per la restitutione di Francesco Sforza Secondo Duca di Milano, wood-engraved title vignette and colophon, wood-engraved initials, eighteenth century mottled calf with the arms gilt of William Stuart, 4to, Venice: Giovanni Giolito de Ferrari, 1589 William Stuart (1798-1874) of Templesford Hall in Bedfordshire was the eldest son of William Stuart, Archbishop of Armagh. He was Justice of the Peace and a Deputy Lieutenant. He collected a large library that was sold after his death at Sotheby's (1875), and a further portion at Christie's (1895). The remainder of the library was destroyed in a fire at Templesford Hall shortly thereafter.
