ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM THORNLEY (Fl.1858-1898) FISHERFOLK WITH BOATS AT SUNSET Signed indistinctly (ending ..nnison) and dated indistinctly (1895?), oil on canvas 30 x 49.5cm. * Thornley used a number of pseudonyms, including Hubert Thornley, William Thornbury/Thornbery and Charles Thorneley. The middle name `Anson` was included occasionally but this signature clearly ends `..nnison`. The technique, palette and subject matter are all consistent with Thornley's work.
