RENAISSANCE REVIVAL STEEL, SILVER AND PARCEL GILT BASIN,
attributed to Antonio Cortelazzo, circa 1870, the central panel after the Battle of Fornovo Medal by Talpa, inside a raised border applied with putti in various activities amongst scrolling foliage and vases, possibly inspired by decoration from Nero's Golden House, a further border of intaglios after Pichler interspersed by alternating gilt panels of figures and foliage and an outer border of further figures, birds and animals amongst scrolling foliage and a rope twist rim, diameter 49cm
