* Derived in part from Tayler's `The Departure of the Fishing Fleet, Boulogne` (1891, Birmingham Museums Trust). Two themes similar to this are recorded. One entitled `Awaiting the Boats` (1892) was sold at Sothebys, June 19th 1996, lot 9 (76 x 50cm); and another, `Waiting for the Boats` (1894) was sold at Sothebys, April 2nd 2008, lot 92 (70 x 46cm)
