Provenance: A gift from the artist to the distinguished British photographer, Roger Mayne (1929-2014). Bourdin was the foremost French fashion photographer of the post-War era and worked most notably for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar from 1955. Bourdin's 60 x 96cm photograph for French Vogue, March 1972 (editioned by the estate) realised £50,000 at Christie's London in May 2017
